Avoid the woods.

Those things have been here before and they're not as harmless as they look.

[ And Tyr will be hiding out in the beach house with his staff. It doesn't exactly feel like paranoia after what happened last time he saw slenderman. ]

[Even if she hadn't seen the post, it'd be hard not to notice that Tyr isn't exactly thrilled about today's curse.

And she has to admit--to herself, anyway--they're kind of creepy.]

Are these things from your world?

[ He shakes his head. ]

No, they're from this place--or from its underworld...

[ As angry and bitter as he sounds, there's still a note of fear in his voice. ]

[That Hell curse from before. No wonder Tyr's scared.]

You mean you remember seeing them down there?

[ He shakes his head. ]

Not exactly... It takes people there... [ And for him, that makes it worse. ]

[Her eyes widen. Of course he's going to be even more worried if that's the thing that dragged him down there.]

That's what took you? It's really that strong?

[ His voice is rushed and panicked. ] It's resilient-- nothing I did made it back down.

[Tyr's strong, too, so that concerns her. But she can also see that he's getting panicked, so she keeps calm and reaches for his hand as she comes closer.] The two of us should have a better chance. Anyway, we're not going anywhere if they're running around outside.

[ He holds her hand tightly, too. ]

...Thanks. [ For not going out. ] We can't know that they won't come inside, though, so we should still stick together...

[She trusts him when he says they're bad news. ~~And they're really creepy~~]

Yeah. It sounds like they're appearing anywhere...

[ He takes a deep breath to try to calm himself. ]

...We should stay on the first floor. In case we need to run...

...All right. [There's no reason to argue, though she worries about him.] It'll be easier to use our spells outside, anyway.

Right... And if we made a barrier, it'd have to be outside.

[ Because it'd be a burning one. ]

A barrier blastia would useful at these times...

[But they use so much energy...]

The City will probably break it before it could really help...

Ugh...you're probably right. All we can do today is keep an eye open.

[She shakes her head. She'll do her best to try to keep him from thinking about what would happen to them.]

[ Tyr looks over at her blankly. He doubts Rita can really guarantee that... ]

If it does, I won't let it take you alone.

[She just needs to pay attention and cast quickly, she thinks.]

[ Tyr thinks Rita is being too optimistic for once. ]

You need to think about other possibilities, Rita.

[Whereas she thinks Tyr's being too pessimistic. Of course, the reality is that they need to be careful, but she still has some confidence in their abilities.]

I'm thinking about not worrying ourselves to death before anything even happens.

[ That's the main difference between them. Tyr knows he isn't strong enough. ]
